About This Coffee and the producer
The story of Mr. Airton and his family started with coffee in Paraná. The occurrence of changes in climatic factors in the south of the country made the coffee grower and his family get to know the Cerrado Mineiro and make it much more than a new address, but the legacy of his family in coffee growing in the region.
In Patrocínio-MG, 29 years ago, the producer established himself and, in addition to raising his 4 children, made the love for coffee a family tradition, being passed from father to son. Currently, Marcos Airton Fornaciari, son of Mr. Airton, is responsible for managing the family business and together with the grandson of the patriarch, Lucas Fornaciari, they are leading the experience in quality production for the first time.
“Here in the Cerrado we made progress, we managed to produce good coffees. My father was always focused on the quality part, always looking for something more, whether in the harvest, maturation point or variety. Following this whole process encouraged me. Today, I work with what I like, coffee growing is something I love. In terms of specialty coffees, we are still in our infancy, but we have been carrying out tests and using our laboratory to define what we are going to do and how we are going to do it. We are following step by step and it is working. I believe I’m already addicted to making quality coffee. This is the first of many experiences we have with quality coffee.”
